Co-op Translator on Open at Microsoft
The Open at Microsoft episode gave Co-op Translator a concrete story to stand on.
Instead of explaining the tool in the abstract, I could show it through the Phi-3 Cookbook: a real technical resource where multilingual accessibility mattered. The project needed Markdown translation, image text handling, and a workflow that developers could understand, review, and contribute to.
That case study connected three parts of my work: open source, developer education, and practical AI tooling. It showed that language access is not only a content problem. It is also a maintenance problem.
Publishing content in more languages is only the first step. Those languages have to stay aligned with the source as the project changes. Otherwise, accessibility fades quietly over time.
The principle is that multilingual accessibility needs a workflow, not only a translation output. The workflow is what keeps the translated material useful after the first publish.
